This page lists  the projects and programs that Friends has participated in since our inception.

 

2008

  • Partnered with the Prevention Council of Central Ohio and others to plant flowers and a tree at the new Engine House 17 on West Broad Street on June 23

2007

  • Planted 20 trees at Rhodes Park with the support of the City of Columbus Forrestry Division
  • Retaining wall in the Hilltop Neighborhood Park repaired through the generosity of Hennessy Landscaping
  • Held cleanups along West Broad Street, Mound Street and the Camp Chase railroad through Operation Hilltop Cleanup
  • Planted flowers in the West Broad Street planters 
  • Weeded and planted perenials in the chicanes (traffic calmers) on Lechner Avenue
  • Eleventh Annual Beautification Awards honored 10 commercial and 71 residential winners in a ceremony held at the Hilltop Senior Village

2006

  • Tenth Annual Beautification Awards honored 10 commercial and 121 residential winners in a ceremony held at the Hilltop Senior Village

2005

  • Ninth Annual Beautification Awards honored 12 commercial and 67 residential winners in a ceremony held at the Hilltop Senior Village

2004

  • Eighth Annual Beautification Awards honored 18 commercial and 66 residential winners in a ceremony held at the Big Run Police Substation 

2003 

  • Seventh Annual Beautification Awards honored 10 commercial and 31 residential winners in a ceremony held at the Big Run Police Substation 

2002

  • Sixth Annual Beautification Awards honored 16 commercial and 28 residential winners in a ceremony held at the Big Run Police Substation

2001

  • Fifth Annual Beautification Awards honored 12 commercial and 44 residential winners in ceremony held at the Hilltop Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library

2000

  • Fourth Annual Beautification Awards honored 6 commercial and 30 residential winners.
